Ben Sherman watches are an indication of the fast-moving, superbly euphoric movement that comes from home-grown fashion. Indeed, simple styles and classic shapes take time to immerse themselves into popular culture but, when they do, they prove to be timeless and unite entire generations as well as styles. Nobody knows this better than Ben Sherman and his remarkable story is testament to this. Born Benjamin Sugarman in 1925, Ben Sherman was a name he chose while living in America. For personal reasons, he came back to his hometown of Brighton and imparted his vast knowledge of American style onto the British public, adding a few twists of his own. This was in 1963, and became a catalyst for the Swinging Sixties. By 1970 Ben Sherman had to order nearly 5 million feet of material to make his signature shirts, such was their popularity. Ben Sherman watches are vital parts of this continuing growth, with a variety of incredible designs on offer; the timeless styles and strong, durable materials used make Ben Sherman one of the only British fashion houses to feature in almost every youth movement for 5 decades.
