After appearing on onscreen in the film 'The Thomas Crown Affair,' sporting Persol 714 sunglasses, his non-conventional, casual character drove viewers into a Persol frenzy. Steve McQueen had been a fan of Persol sunglasses for some time, and was known to hold a vast personal collection of the luxury sunglasses.


So much so, that when a pair of Steve McQueen's Persol sunglasses went to auction, they were sold for USD70,000. With history and legend intertwined, the Persol Steve McQueen Special Edition sunglasses collection is full of personality. 

This folding Persol Steve McQueen Special Edition collection features the details of the original model worn by the actor. The blue lenses are a favourite of Steve McQueen. Made of top quality crystal, Persol PO071SM sunglasses are execeptionally slim, light and comfortable to wear. Photochromic and anti-reflective coating guarantees crystal-clear vision in all light conditions. 


The folding closure system is featured at the end of the stem on each model in the Persol Steve McQueen Special Edition collection. The stem moves from the outside towards the inside, no longer from the downwards as before. The Persol Supreme Arrow is feature on the stem, the front and also on the folding hinge and half-way along the stem, totalling four arrows upon the frame. The name Steve McQueen is embellished on the inside of the stem and on the stylish leather case. Each model comes in two sizes 52mm and 54mm, so wearer's can choose their own fit.
